Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering
Overview
The department came into existence as Electrical & Electronics Engineering in the year 2005 and subsequently course restructured as Electronics and Communication Engineering in 2007. Since its inception, the department has grown tremendously. The department offers a wide range of courses, which addresses the entire subject areas related to the new communication era. In the academic session 2010-2011, the Department has introduced PG course in Microelectronics and VLSI Technology and research scholars enrolled in the field of Device Fabrication, VLSI Design and Optoelectronics. The department aims to create competent Electronics Engineers to cater to the needs of industry and the nation, as a whole. It updates the course curriculum on regular basis by which the students can compete with the best in the business and face the challenges of today's-world. It has set up all modern laboratories like DSP, VLSI, Analog and Digital Communication, Device Fabrication, Embedded Lab, RF Lab, Microwave Lab, Laser based Instrumentation lab etc. It has a qualified and experienced team of faculty members to carry forward the department’s legacy.
